Aleksandar Grujić

Aleksandar Grujić graduated in piano at the department of classical music at the FMU in Belgrade and jazz piano at the conservatory in Utrecht (HKU) in the Netherlands. He completed a four-year program of contemporary improvisation at the Amsterdam Conservatory (CvA) and also privately studied the Indian rhythmic system with the famous Indian percussionist Manjunath BC in Bangalore, India.

During his artistic work on the Serbian and Dutch scene, he collaborated with many prominent jazz and classical music artists, as well as orchestras such as Metropol Orchestra, Amsterdam Simfonietta, CvA New Music Ensemble and Ostrava Banda.

He released an album of original jazz music called "GIV & Gaslight" (Metropolis 2018).

He teaches jazz piano at the "Stanković" High School of Music in Belgrade.
